How to send an effective creditor dispute letter

(will improve your score)


In a letter of dispute you must enclose the following items :


  • A brief letter identifying the creditor and the debt you are disputing and why include any supportive documents. Such as receipts or statements.

  • Copy of a Government ID: i.e. Drivers license / State Indemnification card / Military ID

  • Copy of current address and identification i.e.: recent utility bill, recent bank statement, insurance policy statement

  • Social Security number

  • Date of Birth

  • Current address

  • Previous address

  • Date your letter and if you can afford it send it "Recipt Requested"


    ONLY SEND COPIES BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE RETURNED


    Send copies of this information to each reporting credit agency. Repeat this process each week for about 5 weeks.
